Tell us something about you? I am so happy to say that I have created a wonderful salon and a spa with an amazing team of happy professional people who are all devoted to offering excellent hairdressing and beauty services alongside excellent customer service. I still enjoy hairdressing and also really enjoy the business side of running the salon and spa. I strive to keep Pure at the top of the guests’ choice as the number one salon for hairdressing and beauty.

Favourite Aveda product? be curly™ family.  Having extremely curly hair myself I understand the problems guests with curly hair have!  After years of fighting the curls I decided a few years ago to embrace them.  I use be curly™ shampoo, conditioner, style prep and curl enhancer;  all of the products contain wheat protein which expands when wet and retracts when the hair is dry to lock in curl and eliminate frizz.

Favourite Salon/Spa service? Years spent on my feet has really taken its toll on my back!   I love the Aveda Stress-Fix™ Massage.  The aromas in the stress fix oils  organic lavender, lavandin and clary sage are clinically proven to reduce feelings of stress, combined with deep tissue massage, foot reflexology and guided meditation, the benefits can be felt for weeks afterwards.

Carron – Creative Director, Trichologist, Afro Hair Specialist

Tell us something about you? I bring over 20 years hairdressing and Trichology experience to the Pure team and have gained a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of hairstyling; different hair textures and lengths, from Afro hair to hair extensions & pixie cuts! I am a trained trichologist and can give you advice on any hair/scalp concerns you may have and I have also gained extensive experience with hair botox.

Favourite Aveda product? The Aveda Cherry Almond hair collection.  I think it smells gorgeous! It’s very hydrating without being heavy;  light enough to penetrate without leaving a buildup. I find it works well on all hair types too.

Mushin – Creative Director

Tell us something about you? I am the most recent addition to join the Pure team of hair stylists!
Aveda trained, I have over18yrs experience in hair dressing, Aveda styling, cutting and colouring for both ladies and gents, incl. most recently at the award winning Fresh Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa in Islington.

Favourite Aveda product? Aveda’s volumizing tonic™ – I love using this because it gives root lift, for any types of hair, ultra light and gives body without weighing your hair down.

Helen – Artistic Director, Aveda Colour Master

Tell us something about you? I joined the Pure hair team over 4yrs ago having worked as a hairdresser for over 10 years,  including in my own salon. I’ve loved every single minute of my career and I’m really looking forward to continuing with my progress as part of the Pure family! I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing and really thrive when it comes to complete re-styles and transformations, wedding hair is also a real favourite.  I have also recently been awarded Aveda Colour Master status!

Favourite Aveda product? The Botanical Repair™ collection, I think it leaves your hair looking shiny and feeling stronger after the first use, I love the whole range!

James – Artistic Director

Tell us something about you? I began my career at Pure in 2018 and I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing, but my passion is in colour and for the most part crafting the perfect blonde.  Creating dimension to flatter each individual guest and using the latest trends.
I love being creative with colour, especially producing a significant distinction from before to after.  Enhancing your hair with high quality results, whether you want to brighten your hair with a balayage or looking to make a statement with a fashion colour. I strive to achieve presenting you the hair of your dreams and making you feel confident when you leave the salon in love with your new hair!

Favourite Aveda product? Aveda’s new Blonde Revival.  I create a lot of blondes in the salon, and whether you’re a natural blonde or have highlights or a balayage, the new blonde revival shampoo and conditioner has been a game changer from Aveda. I highly recommend using the blonde revival range as it benefits guests in upkeeping their blondes between appointments from home, helping to refresh dull and brassy blondes to ashier and healthier hair. Also leaving the hair shiny and nourished and not dry or brittle like many purple shampoos can.

Abi – Artistic Designer

Tell us something about you? I joined the Pure team when I was 15yrs old as a Saturday girl because I’ve always wanted to be a hair dresser.  I’m now 18yrs old and after successfully completing my apprenticeship became a graduate designer & through my hardwork have now been promoted to Artistic Designer!
I have a real passion for creating vivid colours and a drive to learn all the aspects of hairdressing and expand my knowledge of all things hair & beauty! I couldn’t have come to a better place, all the team are so experienced and knowledgable and are guiding me to become a first class stylist!

Favourite Aveda product? Nutriplenish leave -in conditioner is my favourite product as it’s great for all hair types and adds shine and nourishment to hair.. It’s also a heat protectant which makes it great for blow drying and it can also be used in combination with other Aveda products.

Lydia – Spa Manager

Tell us something about you? My name is Lydia I’m 27 and I am the new beauty therapist at pure hair and spa. I have been performing beauty services for 7 years, I have worked in salons since 19 including managing the busy salon at Birmingham airport.
My goal is to offer you beauty treatments for the face and body to help you all feel more confident about yourselves and to relax you outside your busy lifestyles. I also specialise in eyelash treatments including individual eyelash extensions.

Amanda – Front of House Manager & Beauty Therapist

Tell us something about you? I love my role as Front of House. I get real pleasure from greeting everyone with a warm welcome and making someone’s day! Having a background in working with luxury cosmetics brands, including Aveda, in my beauty therapist role I enjoy performing Aveda’s luxury spa treatments and also advising our guests in our retail department, sharing my knowledge of the products and techniques to achieve great results at home. My intention is to give every guest a memorable experience, which is made easy with our Aveda treatments and products!

Paula – Independant Therapist

Tell us something about you?I have been working for Angela ever since I completed my NVQ 3 in beauty therapy over 10 years ago. Formerly the manager of the Pure Spa I now work as an independent therapist on a part time basis. I love the Aveda brand and have extensive knowledge in all of the Aveda family of treatments and ranges. Aveda spa treatments are luxurious and relaxing and I take pride in the fact both myself and the Pure team go above and beyond to make sure you leave us feeling completely pampered and spoilt!

Favourite Aveda product/service? The Aveda Stress Fix™ range combined with the Aveda Stress Fix massage I think the massage is really luxurious and is a firm favourite with my guests.  The range of products smells amazing and really relaxing – says what it does on the tin!

Kaz – Behind the Scenes

Tell us something about you? I have worked for Angela for over 15yrs both as a receptionist and also behind the scenes – she hasn’t sacked me yet so I must be doing something right! :)
I have a background in art/graphic design and merchandising and I am responsible for updating and maintaining this website & online shop, the design of the salon graphics/printed items, social media & marketing.

Evie – Apprentice

Tell us something about you? Hi, my name is Evie and I’m one of the newest members of the Pure team.  I’ve always wanted to be a hairdresser and have been working as a Saturday girl in hair salons since the age of 14.  I’m really excited to be joining the Pure Hair stylists team.  My passion is colouring hair and I’m looking forward to learning all about the different techniques and Aveda colours & making my guests happy with the results of their hair one day!

Favourite Aveda product?  I’m just starting to learn all about the Aveda products but so far my favourite is the Beautifying Composition Oil™

Lauren – Apprentice

Tell us something about you? Hi, my name is Lauren and I’m an apprentice. I am very excited to join the Pure hair stylist team and get stuck in with my training and talking to lots of new people!  I love to be creative and I hope I can make guests leave with a smile on their face. I am looking forward to working with Aveda products as the brand as a whole is so unique and they have products for all type of hair which I am excited to try and experiment with throughout my training.
